UNISIGN takes an important position as global producer of innovative and proven machine tool technology in all market segments.
Our customer, Ferdinand Steck Maschinenfabrik AG (Switzerland) is a manufacturer of road rollers and special machines and rail vehicles of all kinds. Besides that, conversions and repair and restoration work is carried out. Everything is carried out within the company, from the design, through production (mechanical engineering, metal shop) up to and including the finishing.
In January, UNISIGN installed the UNIPORT 6000 at this customer. With this new portal milling machine they can process components up to 8000 x 3500 x 1550 mm.
Dimensions: X 8.000mm, Y 3.500mm, Z 1.250mm. Operating system: Heidenhain iTNC 530.
The machine is equipped with a right angular indexing head and universal indexing head (both 6.000 rpm), and a spindle extension (4.000 rpm).
